The Foyer de l’Orb will hold its General Assembly on March 12, a highlight in the life of the association, open to volunteers, partners, and people committed to its cause. This event will be an opportunity to review the past year, discuss the actions taken, and look ahead to future projects together. The General Assembly will also feature a presentation by Mr. Benoist, who will share important insights on the impact of incarceration on families, who are often the first invisible victims of imprisonment. This will be a valuable opportunity to better understand, raise awareness, and strengthen the Foyer’s commitment.

The Foyer de l’Orb is organizing a big community clean-up on February 7, and warmly invites all its volunteers to come together from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a fun and useful day. On the agenda: cleaning, DIY, and small maintenance tasks to take care of the center together. Everyone can participate according to their interests and skills, in a spirit of mutual aid and good humor. The day will end with a shared meal, a special opportunity to chat and strengthen bonds. Your help is invaluable: together, let’s bring the center to life.

The Foyer de l’Orb featured in Midi Libre We are proud to share some wonderful recognition for the work carried out by the Foyer de l’Orb: our organization was recently featured in an article in the Midi Libre newspaper.In this report, the regional daily newspaper highlights the center’s mission, its essential role in supporting the families of inmates at the Gasquinoy prison, and the commitment of the volunteers and teams who keep the center running on a daily basis. The article looks back at the creation of the center, which was designed as a place of welcome, rest, and support, offering families temporary accommodation in what is often a difficult situation. It emphasizes the importance of providing a warm, dignified, and caring environment in close proximity to the visiting rooms in order to facilitate visits and preserve family ties.
